Protecting Your Business and Yourself

As a complement to the session about protecting your art and performance through copyright, this session will cover how you can use trademark to help establish your creative business as a brand that stands for a high level of quality. We will answer questions such as: When is trademark appropriate? How do you establish a trademark? How do you federally register a trademark, and why might you want to? We ill also discuss the First Amendment and how it can protect you and your business when using nudity in your artwork and performances.
